Who we are

Waypoint Hamilton is a small campground at 368 Holland Road, Puketaha, Hamilton, operated by Next Residential Limited. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you make a booking, we collect:

• Your name, email address, and mobile number
• Your vehicle registration (and a second vehicle's, if applicable)
• Number of adults and children staying
• Any special requests you tell us about
• Your booking dates, site, and payment amount

We don't collect or store your card details ourselves — payments are handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor (see "Who we share information with" below).

Why we collect it

We only collect what we need to run your booking:

• To create, confirm, and manage your booking
• To contact you about your stay — confirmations, arrival details, and any changes
• To process payments, refunds, and any amendments
• To identify your vehicle for site access purposes
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations

Who we share information with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Waypoint. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

• Stripe (payment processing) — handles your card details directly; we never see or store them
• Resend (email delivery) — sends booking confirmations and other emails on our behalf
• Supabase (database and hosting) — stores your booking information securely

These providers are based overseas (primarily the United States), so your information may be processed outside New Zealand. Each of these providers has its own privacy and security standards, and we only work with providers who take data protection seriously.

We don't sell your information to anyone, and we don't use it for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies and tracking

Our website doesn't use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising trackers. We don't track your browsing behaviour across other websites.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and legal purposes, after which they're deleted or anonymised.

Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorised access, or misuse — including secure, password-protected access to our booking system and encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) across our website.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct any information that's wrong
• Ask us to explain why we hold or use your information a certain way
